That’s actually not too bad a set up. The inlet electrical cord leaves a little bit to be desired but as long as it’s UL approved I don’t see any safety issues. People in older homes might run into an issue or two cutting out for the boxes though and there might not be an outlet within the 6′ length of that cord. Otherwise, good luck!
If, God forbid, such an electrical cord is found to be responsible for a fire, your home-owner’s insurance will NOT cover you, since you violated code.

What I meant by “single gang is enough” — a typical HD TV only requires a single HDMI cable to your receiver. HDMI carries audio AND video. All other peripherals (DVD, Blue-Ray, etc.) work best when plugged into your receiver and not directly into the TV. The only caveat with HDMI is that “big brother” can enforce DRM (digital rights mgt) across it. Supposedly, a new law is coming (2011?) that bans all newly-made DVD, BlueRay, etc, devices to ONLY offer HDMI out .. no more component video, etc
Great product – easy to install. Single Gang sleeve is enough since 1 HDMI carries audio+video. A few minor caveats: (1) the “ears” are plastic as are the threaded portion of the ears – BE CAREFUL not to strip by over-tightening. (2) Make sure you know where the studs are AND how wide they are. Conventional stud finders often suck at this task – use a thin nail and hammer to locate the exact edges of studs. Then, make sure to leave at least 1″ between the stud and the edge of the hole you make.
You should watch the video again. Its a sheet rock saw. You can get them for 5 bucks at home depot. Just ask home depot rep for sheet rock saw and make sure that the blade looks like the one in the video
The size requirements for the TV are determined by you, based on your room and size of the wallspace where you are installing it. Always take the proper precautions if you are working near or around any hot wires.
This is a do-it-yourself product, but as with all DIY products and projects, some people would like to have someone to the installation for them and these retailers give those people that option. Please visit the websites of our other retailers as we have many that offer our products without the installation.
my house has insulation behind its walls as with anyones home, wil that interfere with me installing it myself, and could you make a video addressing this problem?
I just visited one of the retailers on your more info section, and they wanted me to purchase installation, do you truly believe that this is a do it yourself product or do I really need to purchase the installation?

amazon(dot)com or other distributor, as I don’t believe they’re for sale directly from DataCommElectronics

The insulation will be faced so just slide the wires/cables between the drywall and paper facing of the insulation. YEE HAA
Its a sheet rock saw. In a pinch you can use an old steak knife with a serrated edge
