I wish you could tell HOW to export the texture after finish to paint..
U use photoshop to put on make-up and soo..But how to export just the texture??
Question… Does this product work well with applying new texture to ANY 3D object or is it ONLY for the specific models, such as the model you show in the video?
You hire a model and take the pictures. Or hire a photographer as well.
Barring that, you could buy hires textures from a suitable source. There are several who specialize in exactly this.
It seem like… for this to work well you would need a good source of high res photos for every angle. Where do you get the high res photos of someone from every angle? All relatively the same size and lighting?
David, you are now my hero. Love this program. Will be upgrading to Suite as soon as I can. Thank you! <3
“But how to export just the texture?”
Menu->File->Export->Image Maps
or
Right click on the map in the “Maps” section and select “Export”

This is an incredible tutorial. I would have used the Clone brush. Thanks.

Yes, Blacksmith3D works on different 3D Objects. (The list of supported object formats is listed on the website.) I use .OBJ, personally.
Yes it works with Poser products, in fact it will import and export Poser’s .CR2 format. or export a Poser 4+ MAT Pose file.
Yes it is easy to export your resultant textures.
And it is not limited to just the Color/Texture channel.
Horrible. You never even mentioned how to save this texture
Im downloading it and im guessing you’d be able to import any model thats been made in say Maya 3D Studio Max..and maybe Poser..
Downloading this now i hope i can make stuff by following your tuts!

I was looking for a software that could give me HQ textures. This seems to be the perfect fit.
